There is a rich and varied musical life within the school: individuals can undertake instrumental lessons; bands of all kinds and styles of music flourish and students of all abilities can participate in the school choirs. The school concert and swing bands have gained well deserved notoriety.

The PE department offer a range of team sports for boys and girls across the school; the teams have been successful in competition as well as offering a popular recreational activity. Our school facilities include a swimming pool and fitness suite on site and a floodlit all weather pitch, which is also available for community hire use in the evenings.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme is also particularly notable within the school with huge numbers completing bronze award and many moving on to Silver and Gold. Expeditions take place between April and September with all dates being published on the school calendar. For further information please select “Duke of Edinburgh’s” from the contact page.
