Chipping Campden School
A short history of Chipping Campden School Around 1440, two notable schools were founded…ours and Eton.
Our first benefactor, John Fereby, left a sum of money to found a school in Chipping Campden. The school
opened with about seventy pupils; all were male and of wealthy parents.
Latin was the most important subject and the school day was twelve hours long.
